ग्रहीतुकामं तं गृह्य रक्षसामीश्वरं हरिः । खमुत्पपात वेगेन कृत्वा कक्षावलम्बिनम् ॥ 7-34-21 ॥
Grasping that lord of the rakshasas who himself wished to seize him, the monkey, having tucked him under his arm, sprang up into the sky with great speed.
english translation
तं चापीडयमानं तु वितुदन्तं नखैर्मुहुः । जहार रावणं वाली पवनस्तोयदं यथा ॥ 7-34-22 ॥
And though Ravana tormented him, repeatedly clawing at him with his nails, Vali carried him off as the wind carries away a rain-cloud.
english translation
अथ ते राक्षसामात्या ह्रियमाणं दशाननम् । मुमोक्षयिषवो वालिं रवमाणा अभिद्रुताः ॥ 7-34-23 ॥
Then the rakshasa ministers, wishing to free the Ten-faced one as he was being carried away, rushed after Vali, crying out.
english translation
अन्वीयमानस्तैर्वाली भ्राजते ऽम्बरमध्यगः । अन्वीयमानो मेघौघैरम्बरस्थ इवांशुमान् ॥ 7-34-24 ॥
Followed by them, Vali shone as he coursed through the midst of the sky, like the sun in the heavens attended by masses of clouds.
english translation
ते ऽशक्नुवन्तः सम्प्राप्तुं वालिनं राक्षसोत्तमाः । तस्य बाहूरुवेगेन परिश्रान्ता व्यवस्थिताः ॥ 7-34-25 ॥
Those foremost of rakshasas, unable to overtake Vali, grew exhausted by the speed of his arms and thighs and came to a halt.
