ततो माहिष्मतीं नाम पुरीं स्वर्गपुरीप्रभाम् । सम्प्राप्तो यत्र सान्निध्यं सदासीद्वसुरेतसः ॥ 7-31-7 ॥
"Then he came to the city named Mahishmati, which shone like the city of heaven, where the presence of the Fire, born of the Vasus, was ever established."
