Then Manibhadra, whirling his mace, struck the Rakshasa Dhumraksha upon the head, and he, reeling and overcome, fell to the ground.
english translation
Seeing Dhumraksha struck down, fallen and drenched in blood, Dashanana rushed upon Manibhadra in the battle.
english translation
As Dashanana charged at him in fury, Manibhadra, that bull among Yakshas, struck him with three javelins.
english translation
Thus struck, Dashanana in turn smote Manibhadra upon his crown in the fight; and by that blow Manibhadra's diadem was knocked to one side.
english translation
Thereafter, though still battling on, he stood propped and firm and did not tremble; and from that time onward this Yaksha has been remembered as Parshvamauli, 'he of the sidewise crown.' A mighty roar then arose upon that mountain, O King.
