तथावृत्तं तु विज्ञाय दशग्रीवं धनेश्वरः । कुलानुरूपं धर्मज्ञो वृत्तं संस्मृत्य चात्मनः ॥ 7-13-11 ॥
When the lord of wealth (Kubera), knower of dharma, learned that Dashagriva was behaving thus, and recalled the conduct befitting their lineage and his own,
english translation
सौभ्रात्रदर्शनार्थं तु दूतं वैश्रवणस्तदा । लङ्कां सम्प्रेषयामास दशग्रीवस्य वै हितम् ॥ 7-13-12 ॥
then Vaishravana (Kubera), for the sake of showing brotherly affection, sent a messenger to Lanka, with counsel for Dashagriva's benefit.
english translation
स गत्वा नगरीं लङ्कामाससाद विभीषणम् । मानितस्तेन धर्मेण पृष्टश्चागमनं प्रति ॥ 7-13-13 ॥
Having gone to the city of Lanka, that messenger came before Vibhishana; honored by him in accordance with custom, he was questioned about the purpose of his coming.
english translation
पृष्ट्वा च कुशलं राज्ञो ज्ञातीनां च बिभीषणः । सभायां दर्शयामास तमासीनं दशाननम् ॥ 7-13-14 ॥
And having inquired after the welfare of the king and of the kinsmen, Vibhishana presented him in the assembly hall, where Dashanana sat enthroned.
english translation
स दृष्ट्वा तत्र राजानं दीप्यमानं स्वतेजसा । जयेति वाचा सम्पूज्य तूष्णीं समभिवर्तत ॥ 7-13-15 ॥
Beholding the king there, blazing with his own splendor, he honored him with the cry 'Victory!' and then quietly took his place.
