एवमुक्तस्तु धर्मात्मा दशग्रीवेण रक्षसा । उवाच वचनं देवः सह देवैः पितामहः ॥ 7-10-21 ॥
Thus addressed by Dashagriva the Rakshasa, the righteous god, the Grandsire, together with the gods, spoke these words.
english translation
भविष्यत्येवमेतत्ते वचो राक्षसपुङ्गव । एवमुक्त्वा तु तं राम दशग्रीवं पितामहः ॥ 7-10-22 ॥
It shall be even so, this word of yours, O bull among Rakshasas." Having spoken thus to that Dashagriva, O Rama, the Grandsire continued.
english translation
शृणु चापि वरो भूयः प्रीतस्येह शुभो मम । हुतानि यानि शीर्षाणि पूर्वमग्नौ त्वयानघ ॥ 7-10-23 ॥
Hear also a further auspicious boon from me, who am pleased with you: those heads, O sinless one, which you formerly offered into the fire,
english translation
पुनस्तानि भविष्यन्ति तथैव तव राक्षस । वितरामीह ते सौम्य वरं चान्यं दुरासदम् ॥ 7-10-24 ॥
they shall again be restored to you just as they were, O Rakshasa. And I grant you here, O gentle one, yet another boon, hard for others to obtain.
english translation
छन्दतस्तव रूपं च मनसा यद्यथेप्सितम् । भविष्यति न सन्देहो मद्वरात्तवराक्षस ॥ 7-10-25 ॥
Whatever form your mind may desire, however you wish it, that form shall be yours at will, without doubt, by my boon, O Rakshasa."
