द्रष्टृदृश्योपरक्तं चित्तं सर्वार्थम् ॥४-२३॥
The mind is able to perceive because it reflects both the Atman and the objects of perception.
english translation
चित्त कभी तो आत्मा के लिए विषय बन जाता है और कभी बाहर के विषयों को जनाने वाला बन जाता है। इस प्रकार वह विषयों से एवं आत्मा दोनों से रंगा हुआ होता है।
