समाः प्रसारितास्तिस्रस्तथा चोर्ध्वा कनीयसी । अङ्गुष्ठः कुञ्चितश्चैव हंसपक्ष इति स्मृतः ॥ १०६॥

Haṃsapakṣa (swan-wings)—the three fingers stretched, the little finger raised and the thumb bent.

एष च निवापसलिले दातव्ये गण्डसंश्रये चैव । कार्यः प्रतिग्रहाचमनभोजनार्थेषु विप्राणाम् ॥ १०७॥

This hand gesture is to be used for pouring libations of water, actions related to the cheeks, and for indicating the acceptance of gifts, Ācamana (ritual sipping of water), and the act of taking meals by Brahmins.

पुनरेव च नारीणां स्तनान्तरस्थेन विभ्रमविशेषाः । कार्या यथारसं स्युर्दुःखे हनुधारणे चैव ॥ १०९॥
