विवर्तितं स स्फुरितं पिहितं सविताडितम् । विश्लेषः पुटयोर्यस्तु स तून्मेषः प्रकीर्तितः ॥ ११२॥

Vivartita (raising up), Sphurita (throbbing), Pihita (resting), and Vitāḍita (driven). Unmeṣa (opening)—separating the eyelids.

english translation

vivartitaM sa sphuritaM pihitaM savitADitam । vizleSaH puTayoryastu sa tUnmeSaH prakIrtitaH ॥ 112॥

समागमो निमेषः स्यादायामः प्रसृतं भवेत् । आकुऽचितं कुञ्चितं स्यात् समं स्वाभाविकं स्मृतम् ॥ ११३॥

Nimeṣa (closing)—bringing together the eyelids. Prasṛta (expanding)—separating the eyelids widely. Kuñcita (contracted)—contracting the eyelids. Sama (level)—eyelids in a natural position.

english translation

samAgamo nimeSaH syAdAyAmaH prasRtaM bhavet । Aku'citaM kuJcitaM syAt samaM svAbhAvikaM smRtam ॥ 113॥

विवर्तितं समुद्वृत्तं स्फुरितं स्पन्दितं तथा । स्थगितं पिहितं प्रोक्तमाहतं तु विताडितम् ॥ ११४॥

Vivartita (raising up)—raising up the eyelids. Sphurita (throbbing)—when the eyelids are throbbing. Pihita (resting)—when the eyelids are at rest (lit. closed). Vitāḍita (driven)—when the eyelids are struck ॥ accidentally॥.

vivartitaM samudvRttaM sphuritaM spanditaM tathA । sthagitaM pihitaM proktamAhataM tu vitADitam ॥ 114॥
