ते तत्र तुष्टा दैत्यास्तु साधयन्ति पुनः पुनः । रुष्टाश्चापि ततो देवाः प्रत्यभाषन्त नारदम् ॥ ३६॥

There, the demons, pleased, continue to perform their tasks again and again. But the gods, enraged, spoke to Narada in response.

एते तुष्यन्ति निर्गीते दानवा सह राक्षसैः । प्रणश्यतु प्रयोगोऽयं कथं वा मन्यते भवान् ॥ ३७॥

These demons, along with the rakshasas, are pleased by the song. How do you think this method can be destroyed or defeated?

ete tuSyanti nirgIte dAnavA saha rAkSasaiH | praNazyatu prayogo'yaM kathaM vA manyate bhavAn || 37||

देवानां वचनं श्रुत्वा नारदो वाक्यमब्रवीत् । धातुवाद्याश्रयकृतं निर्गीतं मा प्रणश्यतु ॥ ३८॥

Hearing the words of the gods, Narada spoke: "The song, which is based on the principles of the elements and the support of the instruments, should not be destroyed."

devAnAM vacanaM zrutvA nArado vAkyamabravIt | dhAtuvAdyAzrayakRtaM nirgItaM mA praNazyatu || 38||

किन्तूपोहनसंयुक्तं धातुवाद्यविभूषितम् । भविष्यतीदं निर्गीतं सप्तरूपविधानतः ॥ ३९॥

"However, the song, adorned with the elements and supported by instruments, will manifest in the future in the form of seven types, as per the prescribed method."

निर्गीतेनावबद्धाश्च दैत्यदानवराक्षसाः । न क्षोभं न विघातं च करिष्यन्तीह तोषिताः ॥ ४०॥

"Bound by the song, the demons, danavas, and rakshasas will remain here, pleased, and will not cause any disturbance or obstruction."
