केवलं परिवर्ते तु गमने त्रिपदी भवेत् । दिग्वन्दने पञ्चपदी चतुरश्रे विधीयते ॥ १४६॥

In the case of circumambulation, three steps are to be taken while moving. For saluting the directions, five steps should be used. These are prescribed for movements within a square formation.

It should be executed with the measure of a tāla and a triangular form, guided by the intellect of the teacher. Since it has already been explained, restating it would lead to repetition.
