The Kaṭīcchinna (waist-cut) movement is then performed, followed by the motion called Bhramara. After executing the Matalli Karaṇa, the right hand is to be turned in a circular motion.
The waist should be cut off like the trunk of an elephant. The hands should be in an unsteady motion, and the feet should be placed in the Svastika posture.
अञ्चितैर्वलितैर्हस्तैस्तलसङ्घट्टितैस्तथा । निकुट्टितं च कर्तव्यमूरूद्वृतं तथैव च ॥ २०९॥
The hands should be made with a swinging motion and in a curved shape, then the hand should be brought together in a clasping motion. The Nikuttaka should also be performed, followed by the raised thighs (Ūrūdvṛtta).
करिहस्तं कटिच्छिन्नं मदाद्विलसिते भवेत् । मण्डलं स्थानकं कृत्वा तथा हस्तौ च रेचितौ ॥ २१०॥
The waist should be cut off and the hands should be raised in the Madāvilasita pose. The Mandala stance should be assumed, and the hands should be made in the Recita gesture.
