दक्षिने तु तथा वृत्तौ चतुष्कलमपीष्यते । उल्लोप्यकं तु द्विगुरु द्विलघ्वन्ते गुरुर्यथा ॥ २४६॥
The Aparāntaka consisting of two Kalās is to be performed in the Dakṣiṇa Mārga, and that consisting of four Kalās in the Vṛtti Mārga. For all other cases, no Upohana is to be applied here.

dakSine tu tathA vRttau catuSkalamapISyate । ullopyakaM tu dviguru dvilaghvante gururyathA ॥ 246॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशम्यातालौ द्विरभ्यस्तौ सन्निपातोऽन्त्य एव च । प्रत्यक्षरकृतैः पातैः पञ्चभिः समलङ्कृतम् ॥ २४७॥
The two Kalās, Śamyā and Tāla, occur at the end as Sannipāta. They are ornamented with five Pātas made according to the literal syllables.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptअस्य चाङ्गत्रये गीते वैहायसकमिष्यते । तदेकाङ्गपरं ज्ञेयं द्वादशाङ्गपरं तथा ॥ २४९॥
In the three limbs of this ॥ Vastu॥, the Vaihāyasaka is to be applied. Its one-limbed portion is to be known as consisting of one limb, and its twelve-limbed portion likewise.

asya cAGgatraye gIte vaihAyasakamiSyate । tadekAGgaparaM jJeyaM dvAdazAGgaparaM tathA ॥ 249॥

The measure is twelve Kalās, and likewise for the Pāta. In its two-Kalā portion, Śamyā is to be applied, and the time-measure (Kalā) is of two Kalās.
