विशाला सङ्गता चैव सुनन्दा सुमुखी तथा । उपोहनं विशालायाः कला(लाः) पञ्च भवेदिह ॥ १२६॥
The four limbs are Viśālā, Saṃgatā, Sunandā, and Sumukhī. The Upohana of Viśālā consists of five Kalās.
english translation
vizAlA saGgatA caiva sunandA sumukhI tathA । upohanaM vizAlAyAH kalA(lAH) paJca bhavediha ॥ 126॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptषडङ्ग(षट्सङ्ग)ताया विज्ञेयाः सुनन्दायाश्च सप्त च । सुमुख्याश्चोपवहनं नित्यमष्टकलं भवेत् ॥ १२७॥
The Upohana of Saṃgatā consists of six Kalās, that of Sunandā has seven, and the Upohana of Sumukhī is always eight Kalās.
english translation
SaDaGga(SaTsaGga)tAyA vijJeyAH sunandAyAzca sapta ca । sumukhyAzcopavahanaM nityamaSTakalaM bhavet ॥ 127॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआदौ गुरुद्वयं कार्यं चतुर्दश लघून्यथ । उपोहनं विशालायाः पुनरन्ते गुरुः स्मृतः ॥ १२८॥
At the beginning of the Upohana of Viśālā, two long syllables are to be performed, followed by fourteen short syllables. The long syllable at the end is also prescribed.

Adau gurudvayaM kAryaM caturdaza laghUnyatha । upohanaM vizAlAyAH punarante guruH smRtaH ॥ 128॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयथा- ऋन्दुं जगति अवलितकदिगिनिगिकुचकृततिति वा ।(?) चतुर्भिरधिकैरेवं लघुभिर्गुरुसंस्तुतैः । सुनन्दायाश्च विज्ञेयो ह्यपोहनविधिर्बुधैः ॥ १२९॥
For example: rinduṁ jagati avalita-kadi-gini-giku-cakṛtatiti, etc. By adding four more short syllables to the sequence of long and short syllables of Viśālā, the Upohana of Sunandā is to be composed, as prescribed by the sages.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptयथा- ऋन्दुं जगति अवलितकदिगिति ऋलकुचलति विभो ।(?) षड्विंशतिर्लघूनि स्युः सुमुख्याश्च गुरूणि च । उपोहनविधानेन ज्ञेयानि मुनिसत्तमाः ॥ १३०॥
For example: ṛnduṁ jagati avalita-kadi-giti ṛlaku-calatī vibho (?). There are twenty-six short syllables, and the long syllables of Sumukhī are to be performed. By this method of Upohana, the sages of highest authority have prescribed how it is to be known.
