एतैर्द्रव्यैर्युतं कुर्याद्देवतानां निवेशनम् । आलिखेन्मण्डलं पूर्वं यथास्थानं यथाविधिः ॥ २१॥

Using these materials, one should perform the installation of the deities, drawing a Maṇḍala beforehand according to the prescribed method and designated places.
english translation
etairdravyairyutaM kuryAddevatAnAM nivezanam | AlikhenmaNDalaM pUrvaM yathAsthAnaM yathAvidhiH || 21||

समन्तस्तश्च कर्तव्यं हस्ता षोडश मण्डलम् । द्वाराणि चात्र कुर्वीत विधानेन चतुर्दिशम् ॥ २२॥

All around, a Maṇḍala measuring sixteen hands should be made, and doors should be created in it according to the prescribed method, facing the four directions.
english translation
samantastazca kartavyaM hastA SoDaza maNDalam | dvArANi cAtra kurvIta vidhAnena caturdizam || 22||

मध्ये चैवात्र कर्तव्ये द्वे रेखे तिर्यगूर्ध्वगे । तयोः कक्ष्याविभागेन दैवतानि निवेशयत् ॥ २३॥

In its middle should be drawn two lines vertically and horizontally (i.e parallel to the sides), and in the apartments made by these lines, should be installed the different gods.

madhye caivAtra kartavye dve rekhe tiryagUrdhvage | tayoH kakSyAvibhAgena daivatAni nivezayat || 23||

पद्मोपविष्टं ब्रह्माणं तस्य मध्ये निवेशयेत् । आदौ निवेश्यो भगवान्सार्धं भूतगणैः शिवः ॥ २४॥

Brahmā seated on a lotus should be installed in the center, with Lord Śiva along with his attendants placed first.
english translation
padmopaviSTaM brahmANaM tasya madhye nivezayet | Adau nivezyo bhagavAnsArdhaM bhUtagaNaiH zivaH || 24||

नारायणो महेन्द्रश्च स्कन्दः सूर्योऽश्विनौ शशी । सरस्वती च लक्ष्मीश्च श्रद्धा मेधा च पूर्वतः ॥ २५॥

Nārāyaṇa, Mahendra, Skanda, Sūrya, the Ashvins, the Moon, Sarasvatī, Lakṣmī, Śraddhā, and Medhā should be placed in the front.
