आर्द्रायां वा मघायां वा याम्ये पूर्वेषु वा त्रिषु । आश्लेषामूलयोर्वापि कर्तव्यं रङ्गपूजनम् ॥ १६॥
The worship of the stage should be performed on the days of Ārdrā or Maghā, or during any of the first three Yamya Karaṇas, or under the stars Āśleṣā or Mūla.
english translation
ArdrAyAM vA maghAyAM vA yAmye pUrveSu vA triSu । AzleSAmUlayorvApi kartavyaM raGgapUjanam ॥ 16॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआचार्येण तु युक्तेन शुचिना दीक्षितेन च । रङ्गस्योद्योतनं कार्यं देवतानां च पूजनम् ॥ १७॥
The illumination of the stage and the worship of the deities should be performed by a qualified, purified, and initiated Āchārya.
english translation
AcAryeNa tu yuktena zucinA dIkSitena ca । raGgasyodyotanaM kAryaM devatAnAM ca pUjanam ॥ 17॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदिनान्ते दारुणे घोरे मुहूर्ते यमदैवते । आचम्य तु यथान्यायं देवता वै निवेशयत् ॥ १८॥
At the day's end, during the dreadful and fierce moment presided over by Yama, after performing the appropriate purification, the deities should be invoked and installed.
english translation
dinAnte dAruNe ghore muhUrte yamadaivate । Acamya tu yathAnyAyaM devatA vai nivezayat ॥ 18॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptरक्ताः प्रतिसराः सूत्रं रक्तगन्धाश्च पूजिताः । रक्ताः सुमनसश्चैव यच्च रक्तं फलं भवेत् ॥ १९॥
Red thread-bangles, red-scented substances, red flowers, and any red fruit should be worshipped.
english translation
raktAH pratisarAH sUtraM raktagandhAzca pUjitAH । raktAH sumanasazcaiva yacca raktaM phalaM bhavet ॥ 19॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयवैस्सिद्धार्थकैर्लाजैरक्षतैः शालितण्डुलैः । नागपुष्पस्य चूर्णेन वितुषाभिः प्रियङ्गुभिः ॥ २०॥
With barley, white mustard seeds, parched grains, unbroken rice grains, unhusked rice, powdered Nāgapuṣpa, and husked saffron (priyaṅgu).
