In this way, the stage should be constructed with effort, and it should not have a turtle-shaped or fish-shaped base.

evaMvidhaiH prakartavyaM raGgazIrSaM prayatnataH । kUrmapRSThaM na kartavyaM matsyapRSThaM tathaiva ca ॥ 72॥

The stage top should be of a clean, mirror-like shape, and precious gems should be placed on it, including Vajra (diamond) according to the experts.

On the right side, there should be a layout of cat's eye gem (vaidūrya), on the west side, a crystal (sphaṭika), on the north side, coral (pravāla), and in the center, gold (kanaka) should be placed.

vaiDUryaM dakSiNe pArzve sphaTikaM pazcime tathA । pravAlamuttare caiva madhye tu kanakaM bhavet ॥ 74॥

Thus, having constructed the stage's head (rāṅgaśirā), one should proceed with the work involving the wood (dāru). It should be joined with opposing and complementary forms (ūhapratyūha) and adorned with various artistic crafts (nānaśilpā).
