तस्मान्नित्यं प्रयत्नेन रज्जुग्रहणमिष्यते । कार्यं चैव प्रयत्नेन मानं नाट्यगृहस्य तु ॥ ३१॥
Therefore, the thread should always be grasped with effort. Similarly, the construction of the playhouse (Nāṭyagṛha) should also be undertaken with great care and effort.
english translation
tasmAnnityaM prayatnena rajjugrahaNamiSyate । kAryaM caiva prayatnena mAnaM nATyagRhasya tu ॥ 31॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमुहूर्तेनानुकूलेन तिथ्या सुकरणेन च । ब्राह्मणांस्तर्पयित्वा तु पुण्याहं वाचयेत्ततः ॥ ३२॥
At an auspicious moment, on a favorable date, after performing rites to satisfy the Brahmins, the performer should then recite the sacred words (Punyaahāṃ) with devotion.

muhUrtenAnukUlena tithyA sukaraNena ca । brAhmaNAMstarpayitvA tu puNyAhaM vAcayettataH ॥ 32॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशान्तितोयं ततो दत्त्वा ततः सूत्रं प्रसारयेत् । चतुष्षष्टिकरान्कृत्वा द्विधा कुर्यात्पुनश्च तान् ॥ ३३॥
After giving the water for purification (Shāntitoya), the performer should then stretch the thread. By making it with sixty-four strands, it should be divided into two parts, and then the same should be done again with those parts.

zAntitoyaM tato dattvA tataH sUtraM prasArayet । catuSSaSTikarAnkRtvA dvidhA kuryAtpunazca tAn ॥ 33॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपृष्ठतो यो भवेद्भागो द्विधाभूतस्य तस्य तु । सममर्धविभागेन रङ्गशीर्षं प्रकल्पयेत् ॥ ३४॥
The portion at the back of the divided thread should be used for the stage's plinth (raṅgaśīrṣa), and it should be divided equally into two halves for proper construction.

pRSThato yo bhavedbhAgo dvidhAbhUtasya tasya tu । samamardhavibhAgena raGgazIrSaM prakalpayet ॥ 34॥

In the western division, the dressing room (nepathya-gṛha) should be established, and the sections should be divided according to the prescribed method, following the order step by step.

pazcime ca vibhAge'tha nepathyagRhamAdizet । vibhajya bhAgAnvidhivadyayathAvadanupUrvazaH ॥ 35॥
