द्विधा क्रिया भवत्यासां रङ्गपीठपरिक्रमे । प्रदक्षिणप्रदेशा च तथा चाप्यप्रदक्षिणा ॥ ५१॥
There are two types of movements in their practice: one is in the clockwise direction around the stage, and the other is in the counterclockwise direction.

In the Avanti and Dakshinātya styles, the side door should be positioned to the north, while in the Pañcālī and Oḍhramāgadhī styles, the door should be placed to the south.

In those regions where the prescribed activities are defined, the practitioner should use the corresponding forms of those activities, based on the knowledge of that region.
