Natyashastra
मोहमूर्च्छामदग्लानिविषादेषूपवेशयेत् । सर्वपिण्डीकृताङ्गस्तु संयुक्तैः पादजानुभिः ॥ २०७॥
In cases of delusion, fainting, intoxication, fatigue, or sorrow, one should sit with all limbs contracted and gathered together between the feet and knees.
