अनेनैव विधानेन कर्तव्यं गतिचेष्टितम् । संज्ञामात्रेण कर्तव्यान्येतानि विधिपूर्वकम् ॥ १०६॥
By this very method, the gait and movements are to be performed; other actions are to be done by means of signs (saṃjñā) alone, following the prescribed rules.
english translation
anenaiva vidhAnena kartavyaM gaticeSTitam । saMjJAmAtreNa kartavyAnyetAni vidhipUrvakam ॥ 106॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकस्मान्मृत इति प्रोक्ते किं कर्तव्यं प्रयोक्तृभिः । अङ्कुशग्रहणान्नागं खलीनग्रहणाद्धयम् ॥ १०७॥
When it is said, "Why is he dead?" what is to be done by the actors? The elephant is represented by holding a goad (aṅkuśa), and the horse by holding a bridle (khalīna).
english translation
kasmAnmRta iti prokte kiM kartavyaM prayoktRbhiH । aGkuzagrahaNAnnAgaM khalInagrahaNAddhayam ॥ 107॥

Gait of a person riding a horse will consist of the Vaiśākha Sthāna (posture) and short foot steps of various kinds.
english translation
pragrahagrahaNAdyAnamevamevApareSvapi । azvayAne gatiH kAryA vaizAkhasthAnakena tu ॥ 108॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयथा चूर्णपदैश्चित्रैरुपर्युपरि पातितैः । पन्नगानां गतिः कार्या पादैः स्वस्तिकसंज्ञितैः ॥ १०९॥
Gait of serpents will be by the Svastika feet. ॥ To represent it the actor॥ is to move in the Pārśvakrāntā Cārī and then to make a Recaka of the Svastika feet.
