The left side should perform the primary movement and the Atikrānta position in the Vāmaka. The Pārśvakrānta position should also be followed by the Bhujangatrāsita (serpent-like pose).

sUcImAdyakramaM kRtvA hyapakrAntaM ca vAmakam | pArzvakrAntaH punazcAdyo bhujaGgatrAsitaH sa ca || 36||
