यस्माद् युद्धानि वर्तन्ते तस्मान्न्यायाः प्रकीर्तिताः । वामहस्ते विनिक्षिप्य खेटकं शस्त्रफेटकम् ॥ ७६॥
Since battles are conducted based on them, these are called Nyāyas. Placing the shield in the left hand, one should skillfully wield the weapon.

शस्त्रमादाय हस्तेन प्रविचारमथाचरेत् । प्रसार्य च करौ सम्यक् पुनराक्षिप्य चैव हि ॥ ७७॥
Taking the weapon in hand, one should move skillfully. Stretching the hands fully and then drawing them back again.

खेटकं भ्रामयेत् पश्चात् पार्श्वात् पार्श्वमथापि च । शिरःपरिगमश्चापि कार्यः शस्त्रेण योक्तृभिः ॥ ७८॥
The shield should be whirled behind and from side to side. The weapon should also be moved around the head by the performer.

कपोलस्यान्तरे वापि शस्त्रस्योद्वेष्टनं तथा । पुनश्च खड्गहस्तेन ललितोद्वेष्टितेन च ॥ ७९॥
The weapon should also be turned around near the cheek, and again, with the sword in hand, it should be gracefully whirled.

खेटकेन च कर्तव्यः शिरःपरिगमो बुधैः । एवं प्रचारः कर्तव्यो भारते शस्त्रमोक्षणे ॥ ८०॥
The shield should also be moved around the head by the skilled performer. Thus, this movement should be executed in the Bhārata method of weapon use.
