The feet should be obliquely placed in a triangular position, with the waist and knees kept natural. Weapons such as the bow, thunderbolt, and sword should be used with the Maṇḍala posture.
This Ālīḍha posture is associated with Rudra as its presiding deity. It should be used in actions related to the Heroic (Vīra) and the Furious (Raudra) Sentiments.
It is also to be used in charging forward and in the release of weapons. By bending the right foot and extending the left, the Pratyālīḍha stance is formed.
