This posture is to be used for those of specific sects (liṅgasthāna) and those engaged in religious vows (vratasthāna). The distance between the feet should be three Tālas and a half.
The feet should be placed three Tālas and a half apart, with the thighs kept steady. Both feet should be obliquely positioned and turned sideways, while one foot should be placed forward on the chest line.
The same (stance) should be used by performers in Recakas (movements). In the Maṇḍala posture associated with Indra, the feet should be placed four Tālas apart.
