कथं सज्जेच्च भोगेषु न च तप्येन्महत्‌ तपः । विवर्धमानस्त्रिशिरा: सर्व हि भुवनं ग्रसेत्‌ ॥ ५-९-८ ॥

(And Indra reflected,) 'How may he be made to addict himself to sensual enjoyments; how may he be made to cease his practice of such rigid austerities?
