शुज्भारवेषा: सुश्रोण्यो हारैर्युक्ता मनोहरै: । हावभावसमायुक्ता: सर्वा: सौन्दर्यशोभिता: ॥ ५-९-११ ॥
'Furnished with captivating hips, array yourselves in voluptuous attires, and decking yourselves in charming necklaces, do ye display gestures and blandishments of love.'
english translation
zujbhAraveSA: suzroNyo hArairyuktA manoharai: । hAvabhAvasamAyuktA: sarvA: saundaryazobhitA: ॥ 5-9-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रलोभयत भद्ठे व: शमयध्वं भयं मम । अस्वस्थं हात्मना55त्मानं लक्षयामि वराड़ना: । भयं तन्मे महाघोरें क्षिप्रं नाशयताबला: ॥ ५-९-१२ ॥
'Endued with loveliness, do ye tempt him and alleviate my dread. I feel restless in my heart, O lovely damsels. Avert ye, ladies, this awful peril that hangs over me. Good betide you.'
english translation
pralobhayata bhadThe va: zamayadhvaM bhayaM mama । asvasthaM hAtmanA55tmAnaM lakSayAmi varADa़nA: । bhayaM tanme mahAghoreM kSipraM nAzayatAbalA: ॥ 5-9-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतथा यत्नं करिष्याम: शक्र तस्य प्रलोभने । यथा नावाप्स्यसि भयं तस्माद् बलनिषूदन ॥ ५-९-१३ ॥
"Then the nymphs said, 'O Indra, O slayer of Vala, we shall so endeavour to allure him that thou wilt have nothing to fear at his hands.'
english translation
tathA yatnaM kariSyAma: zakra tasya pralobhane । yathA nAvApsyasi bhayaM tasmAd balaniSUdana ॥ 5-9-13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनिर्दहन्निव चक्षु्भ्या योडसावास्ते तपोनिधि: । त॑ प्रलोभयितुं देव गच्छाम: सहिता वयम् ॥ ५-९-१४ ॥
'That very receptacle of austerities, sitting now as if scorching everything with his eyes, O god, we are going together to tempt.'
english translation
nirdahanniva cakSubhyA yoDasAvAste taponidhi: । ta॑ pralobhayituM deva gacchAma: sahitA vayam ॥ 5-9-14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयतिष्यामो वशे कर्तु व्यपनेतुं च ते भयम् । इन्द्रेण तास्त्वनुज्ञाता जम्मुस्त्रेशिरसो5न्तिकम् । तत्र ता विविधैभविलों भयन्त्यो वराड़्नना: ॥ १५ ॥
'We shall try to bring him under our control, and to put an end to your fears.' Being instructed by Indra, they went to Trishira. There, the ones with the beautiful limbs adopted all kinds of allurements to seduce him.
english translation
yatiSyAmo vaze kartu vyapanetuM ca te bhayam । indreNa tAstvanujJAtA jammustreziraso5ntikam । tatra tA vividhaibhaviloM bhayantyo varAD़nanA: ॥ 15 ॥
