अहं चाभिगतः पूर्वं तवाम अद्य मधुसूदन पूर्वं चाभिगतं सन्तॊ भजन्ते पूर्वसारिणः ॥ ५-७-११ ॥

sanskrit

‘Today, O slayer of Madhu, I have come to you first. Those of right mind take up the cause of the one who approaches them first—thus did the ancients act.’ ॥ 5-7-11 ॥

english translation

ahaM cAbhigataH pUrvaM tavAma adya madhusUdana pUrvaM cAbhigataM santò bhajante pUrvasAriNaH ॥ 5-7-11 ॥
