न च तेभ्यॊ भयं ते ऽसति बराह्मणॊ हय असि वेदवित दूत कर्मणि युक्तश च सथविरश च विशेषतः ।। ५-६-१६ ।।
‘I have not the slightest doubt in this matter. Nor need you fear any danger from them, for you are a Brahmana, well-versed in the Vedas, going as an ambassador, and above all, you are an aged and steadfast man.’ ।। 5-6-16 ।।
स भवान पुष्ययॊगेन मुहूर्तेन जयेन च कौरवेयान परयात्व आशु कौन्तेयस्यार्थ सिद्धये ।। ५-६-१७ ।।
‘Therefore, I ask you to set out without delay toward the Kauravas, with the aim of promoting the interests of the Pandavas, departing under the auspicious combination called Pushya, at the part of the day known as Jaya.’ ।। 5-6-17 ।।
‘Vaisampayana continued: Thus instructed by the magnanimous Drupada, the virtuous priest set out for Hastinapura, the city named after the elephant. Well-versed in the principles of statecraft, he departed with a retinue of disciples, journeying toward the Kurus to promote the welfare of Pandu's sons.’ ।। 5-6-18 ।।
