कथं च धर्मयुक्तास ते न च राज्यं जिहीर्षवः निवृत्तवासान कौन्तेयान य आहुर विदिता इति ।। ५-३-११ ।।
‘How can they claim to be righteous and free from the desire to usurp the throne, when, despite the Pandavas having completed their period of concealment unrecognised, they still insist that the vow was broken?’ ।। 5-3-11 ।।
अनुनीता हि भीष्मेण दरॊणेन च महात्मना न वयवस्यन्ति पाण्डूनां परदातुं पैतृकं वसु ।। ५-३-१२ ।।
‘Even when earnestly entreated by Bhishma and the noble Drona, they refused to restore to the Pandavas the throne that is theirs by right of birth.’ ।। 5-3-12 ।।
‘But I shall not plead with soft words. My entreaties shall be through sharp arrows. I will fight, and with the strength of my arm, I shall compel them to bow down before the illustrious son of Kunti.’ ।। 5-3-13 ।।
अथ ते न वयवस्यन्ति परणिपाताय धीमतः गमिष्यन्ति सहामात्या यमस्य सदनं परति ।। ५-३-१४ ।।
‘If, however, they refuse to bow at the feet of the wise Yudhishthira, then they, along with their followers, shall be driven to the abode of Yama.’ ।। 5-3-14 ।।
न हि ते युयुधानस्य संरब्धस्य युयुत्सतः वेगं समर्थाः संसॊढुं वज्रस्येव महीधराः ।। ५-३-१५ ।।
‘For when I, Yuyudhana, am roused to wrath and resolved upon battle, they will prove as powerless to withstand my onslaught as mountains before the stroke of the thunderbolt.’ ।। 5-3-15 ।।
