‘And the princes, sons of Draupadi, rivaling their fathers in valor, strength, grace, and prowess, took their seats upon magnificent thrones inlaid with gold.’ ।। 5-1-6 ।।
‘When those mighty heroes, adorned with shining ornaments and robes, had seated themselves, the splendid assembly of kings appeared as resplendent as the firmament studded with glittering stars.’ ।। 5-1-7 ।।
कथान्तम आसाद्य च माहवेन; संघट्टिताः पाण्डव कार्यहेतॊः ते राजसिंहाः सहिता हय अशृण्वन; वाक्यं महार्थं च महॊदयं च ।। ५-१-९ ।।
‘Having heard the conclusion of the story from Mahadeva, the assembled kings, intent on the welfare of the Pandavas, sat together on their steeds, listening attentively to the discourse, and to the words of great meaning and noble purpose.’ ।। 5-1-9 ।।
सर्वैर भवद्भिर विदितं यथायं; युधिष्ठिरः सौबलेनाक्षवत्याम जितॊ निकृत्यापहृतं च राज्यं; पुनः परवासे समयः कृतश च ।। ५-१-१० ।।
‘The powerful kings listened together to Krishna’s words, lofty and full of meaning. Krishna said: 'You all know how Yudhishthira was deceitfully defeated at dice by the son of Suvala, how he was robbed of his kingdom, and how he accepted the condition of exile in the forest.'’ ।। 5-1-10 ।।
