[न] युधिष्ठिर सभा दिव्या वरुणस्य सितप्रभा परमाणेन यथा याम्या शुभप्राकारतॊरणा ॥ २-९-१ ॥
'Narada said, "O Yudhishthira, the celestial Sabha of Varuna is unmatched in splendor. In size, it resembles that of Yama. Its walls and arches are all pure white."' ॥ 2-9-1 ॥
english translation
[na] yudhiSThira sabhA divyA varuNasya sitaprabhA paramANena yathA yAmyA zubhaprAkAratòraNA ॥ 2-9-1 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअन्तः सलिलम आस्थाय विहिता विश्वकर्मणा दिव्यरत्नमयैर वृक्षैः फलपुष्पप्रदैर युता ॥ २-९-२ ॥
'It has been constructed by Vishwakarma, the celestial architect, within the waters. It is encircled on all sides by numerous celestial trees made of gems and jewels, bearing exquisite fruits and flowers.' ॥ 2-9-2 ॥
english translation
antaH salilama AsthAya vihitA vizvakarmaNA divyaratnamayaira vRkSaiH phalapuSpapradaira yutA ॥ 2-9-2 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनीलपीतासित शयामैः सितैर लॊहितकैर अपि अवतानैस तथा गुल्मैः पुष्पमञ्जरि धारिभिः ॥ २-९-३ ॥
'And numerous plants, burdened with blooms, blue, yellow, black, dark, white, and red, That stand there, or form excellent bowers around.' ॥ 2-9-3 ॥
english translation
nIlapItAsita zayAmaiH sitaira lòhitakaira api avatAnaisa tathA gulmaiH puSpamaJjari dhAribhiH ॥ 2-9-3 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतथा शकुनयस तस्यां नानारूपा मृदु सवराः अनिर्देश्या वपुष्मन्तः शतशॊ ऽथ सहस्रशः ॥ २-९-४ ॥
'Within those bowers, hundreds and thousands of birds of diverse and beautiful species, Continuously pour forth their melodious songs.' ॥ 2-9-4 ॥

tathA zakunayasa tasyAM nAnArUpA mRdu savarAH anirdezyA vapuSmantaH zatazò 'tha sahasrazaH ॥ 2-9-4 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसा सभा सुखसंस्पर्शा न शीता न च घर्मदा वेश्मासनवती रम्या सिता वरुणपालिता ॥ २-९-५ ॥
'The atmosphere of that mansion is exquisitely delightful, neither cold nor hot. Belonging to Varuna, that charming assembly hall of pure white, Comprises numerous chambers and is adorned with many seats.' ॥ 2-9-5 ॥

sA sabhA sukhasaMsparzA na zItA na ca gharmadA vezmAsanavatI ramyA sitA varuNapAlitA ॥ 2-9-5 ॥
