तेषां मध्ये महेष्वासॊ भीमसेनॊ महाबलः आगमिष्यति धुन्वानॊ गदां दण्डम इवान्तकः ।। २-७२-३१ ।।

sanskrit

'Among them, the formidable Bhimasena, blessed with immense strength, will return, wielding his mace with a power akin to Yama's club.' ।। 2-72-31 ।।

english translation

teSAM madhye maheSvAsò bhImasenò mahAbalaH AgamiSyati dhunvAnò gadAM daNDama ivAntakaH || 2-72-31 ||

ततॊ गाण्डीवनिर्घॊषं शरुत्वा पार्थस्य धीमतः गदा वेगं च भीमस्य नालं सॊढुं नराधिपाः ।। २-७२-३२ ।।

sanskrit

'The might of Bhima’s weapon will be overwhelming for these kings to withstand. Therefore, O king, it seems to me that seeking eternal peace with the sons of Pandu is far preferable to fostering enmity.' ।। 2-72-32 ।।

english translation

tatò gANDIvanirghòSaM zarutvA pArthasya dhImataH gadA vegaM ca bhImasya nAlaM sòDhuM narAdhipAH || 2-72-32 ||

तत्र मे रॊचते नित्यं पार्थैर सार्धं न विग्रहः कुरुभ्यॊ हि सदा मन्ये पाण्डवाञ शक्तिमत्तरान ।। २-७२-३३ ।।

'I always find it preferable to maintain peace with the sons of Pandu rather than engage in conflict. For, indeed, the Pandavas are ever more powerful than the Kuru clan.' ।। 2-72-33 ।।

tatra me ròcate nityaM pArthaira sArdhaM na vigrahaH kurubhyò hi sadA manye pANDavAJa zaktimattarAna || 2-72-33 ||

तथा हि बलवान राजा जरासंधॊ महाद्युतिः बाहुप्रहरणेनैव भीमेन निहतॊ युधि ।। २-७२-३४ ।।

'You know, O king, that Bhima alone, with his bare arms, vanquished the mighty King Jarasandha in battle.' ।। 2-72-34 ।।

english translation

tathA hi balavAna rAjA jarAsaMdhò mahAdyutiH bAhupraharaNenaiva bhImena nihatò yudhi || 2-72-34 ||

तस्य ते शम एवास्तु पाण्डवैर भरतर्षभ उभयॊः पक्षयॊर युक्तं करियताम अविशङ्कया ।। २-७२-३५ ।।

'Therefore, it is wise for you, O foremost of the Bharatas, to seek peace with the Pandavas. Without hesitation or deceit, strive to reconcile the two sides.' ।। 2-72-35 ।।

tasya te zama evAstu pANDavaira bharatarSabha ubhayòH pakSayòra yuktaM kariyatAma avizaGkayA || 2-72-35 ||
