वैशंपायन उवाच इति बरुवन निववृते भरातृभिः सह पाण्डवः जानंश च शकुनेर मायां पार्थॊ दयूतम इयात पुनः ॥ २-६७-५ ॥
'Vaishampayana continued: Although a golden deer was a mere illusion, Rama was nonetheless tempted by it. Indeed, when calamities loom, the minds of men often become disordered. Thus, Yudhishthira, having spoken these words, retraced his steps with his brothers.' ॥ 2-67-5 ॥
