कदली दण्डसदृशं सर्वलक्षणपूजितम गजहस्तप्रतीकाशं वज्रप्रतिम गौरवम ॥ २-६३-११ ॥
'It was like a plantain stem, adorned with all auspicious marks, resembling an elephant's trunk in its grandeur, and as imposing as a thunderbolt.' ॥ 2-63-11 ॥

अभ्युत्स्मयित्वा राधेयं भीमम आधर्षयन्न इव दरौपद्याः परेक्षमाणायाः सव्यम ऊरुम अदर्शयत ॥ २-६३-१२ ॥
'Smiling slightly at Radheya (Karna), As if challenging Bhima, While Draupadi was watching, He showed his left thigh.' ॥ 2-63-12 ॥

वृकॊदरस तद आलॊक्य नेत्रे उत्फाल्य लॊहिते परॊवाच राजमध्ये तं सभां विश्रावयन्न इ ॥ २-६३-१३ ॥
'And beholding this, Bhimasena expanding his red eyes, said unto Duryodhana amid all those kings and as if piercing them (with his dart-like words).' ॥ 2-63-13 ॥
english translation
पितृभिः सह सालॊक्यं मा सम गच्छेद वृकॊदरः यद्य एतम ऊरुं गदया न भिन्द्यां ते महाहवे ॥ २-६३-१४ ॥
'Let not Vrikodara (Bhima) attain the heavenly realms reserved for his ancestors if he does not shatter that thigh of yours in this great battle.' ॥ 2-63-14 ॥

करुद्धस्य तस्य सरॊतॊभ्यः सर्वेभ्यः पावकार्चिषः वृक्षस्येव विनिश्चेरुः कॊटरेभ्यः परदह्यतः ॥ २-६३-१५ ॥
'As he spoke, sparks of fire began to emanate from every part of Bhima’s body, inflamed with wrath, much like the flames that issue from every crack in a blazing tree.' ॥ 2-63-15 ॥
