यॊ वै परश्नं न विब्रूयाद वितथं वापि निर्दिशेत के वै तस्य परे लॊकास तन ममाचक्ष्व पृच्छतः ।। २-६१-६६ ।।
'Prahlada said: 'If someone fails to answer a question or gives a false response, what is their fate in the otherworld? Please explain this to me, as I seek to know.'' ।। 2-61-66 ।।
[कष] जानन न विब्रुवन परश्नं कामात करॊधात तथा भयात सहस्रं वारुणान पाशान आत्मनि परतिमुञ्चति ।। २-६१-६७ ।।
'Kashyapa replied: "One who knows the answer but does not respond due to temptation, anger, or fear, brings upon himself a thousand nooses of Varuna. Similarly, a person who, when called as a witness to matters of direct knowledge, speaks carelessly, also brings upon himself a thousand nooses of Varuna."' ।। 2-61-67 ।।
विद्धॊ धर्मॊ हय अधर्मेण सभां यत्र परपद्यते न चास्य शल्यं कृन्तन्ति विद्धास तत्र सभा सदः ।। २-६१-६९ ।।
'When virtue, wounded by sin, seeks refuge in an assembly, everyone present must remove the harm; otherwise, they risk being afflicted by it.' ।। 2-61-69 ।।
अर्धं हरति वै शरेष्ठः पादॊ भवति कर्तृषु पादश चैव सभासत्सु ये न निन्दन्ति निन्दितम ।। २-६१-७० ।।
'Therefore, one who knows the truth should speak it clearly and without reservation. If virtue, wounded by sin, seeks refuge in an assembly, it is the duty of everyone present to remove the weapon of harm. Otherwise, they risk being afflicted by it themselves.' ।। 2-61-70 ।।
