[अर] न पुरा भीमसेन तवम ईदृशीर वदिता गिरः परैस ते नाशितं नूनं नृशंसैर धर्मगौरवम ।। २-६१-७ ।।
'Arjuna, hearing this, said, 'O Bhimasena, you have never spoken such words before. Your high morality has been tarnished by these cruel enemies.'' ।। 2-61-7 ।।
'You should not cater to the wishes of the enemy. Uphold the highest morality. How can it be appropriate to transgress the path of your virtuous elder brother?' ।। 2-61-8 ।।
आहूतॊ हि परै राजा कषात्र धर्मम अनुस्मरन दीव्यते परकामेन तन नः कीर्तिकरं महत ।। २-६१-९ ।।
'The king was summoned by the enemy, and, adhering to the Kshatriya code, he played at dice against his will. This, indeed, contributes greatly to our renown.' ।। 2-61-9 ।।
'Bhima said, "Had I not known, O Dhananjaya, that the king acted according to Kshatriya usage, I would have seized his hands and burned them in a blazing fire by sheer force."' ।। 2-61-10 ।।
