अस्याः कृते मन्युर अयं तवयि राजन निपात्यते बाहू ते संप्रधक्ष्यामि सहदेवाग्निम आनय ॥ २-६१-६ ॥
'It is for her sake, O king, that my anger is directed at you. I will burn your hands. Sahadeva, bring the fire.' ॥ 2-61-6 ॥
english translation
asyAH kRte manyura ayaM tavayi rAjana nipAtyate bAhU te saMpradhakSyAmi sahadevAgnima Anaya ॥ 2-61-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript[अर] न पुरा भीमसेन तवम ईदृशीर वदिता गिरः परैस ते नाशितं नूनं नृशंसैर धर्मगौरवम ॥ २-६१-७ ॥
'Arjuna, hearing this, said, 'O Bhimasena, you have never spoken such words before. Your high morality has been tarnished by these cruel enemies.'' ॥ 2-61-7 ॥
english translation
[ara] na purA bhImasena tavama IdRzIra vaditA giraH paraisa te nAzitaM nUnaM nRzaMsaira dharmagauravama ॥ 2-61-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन सकामाः परे कार्या धर्मम एवाचरॊत्तमम भरातरं धार्मिकं जयेष्ठं नातिक्रमितुम अर्हति ॥ २-६१-८ ॥
'You should not cater to the wishes of the enemy. Uphold the highest morality. How can it be appropriate to transgress the path of your virtuous elder brother?' ॥ 2-61-8 ॥
english translation
na sakAmAH pare kAryA dharmama evAcaròttamama bharAtaraM dhArmikaM jayeSThaM nAtikramituma arhati ॥ 2-61-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआहूतॊ हि परै राजा कषात्र धर्मम अनुस्मरन दीव्यते परकामेन तन नः कीर्तिकरं महत ॥ २-६१-९ ॥
'The king was summoned by the enemy, and, adhering to the Kshatriya code, he played at dice against his will. This, indeed, contributes greatly to our renown.' ॥ 2-61-9 ॥

AhUtò hi parai rAjA kaSAtra dharmama anusmarana dIvyate parakAmena tana naH kIrtikaraM mahata ॥ 2-61-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript[भम] एवम अस्मि कृतं विद्यां यद्य अस्याहं धनंजय दीप्ते ऽगनौ सहितौ बाहू निर्दयेयं बलाद इव ॥ २-६१-१० ॥
'Bhima said, "Had I not known, O Dhananjaya, that the king acted according to Kshatriya usage, I would have seized his hands and burned them in a blazing fire by sheer force."' ॥ 2-61-10 ॥

[bhama] evama asmi kRtaM vidyAM yadya asyAhaM dhanaMjaya dIpte 'ganau sahitau bAhU nirdayeyaM balAda iva ॥ 2-61-10 ॥
