वासवं देवराजं च यमं वैवस्वतं च के वरुणं च कुबेरं च सभायां पर्युपासते ॥ २-६-१६ ॥
'Who attends upon Vasava, the Lord of the celestials, and Yama, the son of Vivasvat? Who serves Varuna and Kuvera in their respective assembly rooms?' ॥ 2-6-16 ॥
english translation
एतत सर्वं यथातत्त्वं देवर्षे वदतस तव शरॊतुम इच्छाम सहिताः परं कौतूहलं हि नः ॥ २-६-१७ ॥
'We are eager to hear all this in detail from you, O divine sage. We are filled with great curiosity.' ॥ 2-6-17 ॥
english translation
एवम उक्तः पाण्डवेन नारदः परत्युवाच तम करमेण राजन दिव्यास ताः शरूयन्ताम इह नः सभाः ॥ २-६-१८ ॥
'Thus addressed by the son of Pandu, Narada replied, "O monarch, listen as I describe each of those celestial assembly halls one by one.' ॥ 2-6-18 ॥
