'Sakuni said, "O King, I have won the sons of Madri, who are dear to you. However, it seems that Bhimasena and Dhananjaya are held in even higher regard by you."' ।। 2-58-16 ।।
'Yudhishthira said, "Wretch! You are acting sinfully by seeking to create discord among us, who are united in heart while disregarding righteousness."' ।। 2-58-17 ।।
'Sakuni said, "Just as one who is intoxicated falls into a pit and remains immobilized, so do you, O King, being senior to us and possessed of great accomplishments, command respect. O bull of the Bharata race, I bow to you."' ।। 2-58-18 ।।
सवप्ने न तानि पश्यन्ति जाग्रतॊ वा युधिष्ठिर कितवा यानि दीव्यन्तः परलपन्त्य उत्कटा इव ।। २-५८-१९ ।।
'You know, O Yudhishthira, that gamblers, when caught up in the excitement of play, utter such delirious ravings that they would never speak or even dream of such things in their waking moments.' ।। 2-58-19 ।।
'Yudhishthira said, "He who guides us across the tumultuous sea of battle, who is always victorious over enemies, the prince endowed with great valor, and the one hero in this world, is present here. Despite his unworthiness of being staked, I will now gamble with you, using Falguna as the stake."' ।। 2-58-20 ।।
