अष्टौ यं कुररच छायाः सदश्वा राष्ट्रसंमताः वहन्ति नैषाम उच्येत पदा भूमिम उपस्पृशन एतद राजन धनं मह्यं तेन दीव्याम्य अहं तवया ।। २-५४-६ ।।

sanskrit

'Here are eight steeds, each as swift as the shadow of a falcon, well-regarded throughout the realm. They carry this chariot, which touches the earth with its wheels. O King, this is the wealth I stake against you!' ।। 2-54-6 ।।

english translation

aSTau yaM kuraraca chAyAH sadazvA rASTrasaMmatAH vahanti naiSAma ucyeta padA bhUmima upaspRzana etada rAjana dhanaM mahyaM tena dIvyAmya ahaM tavayA || 2-54-6 ||
