कालातिक्रमणाद धयेते भक्त वेतनयॊर भृताः भर्तुः कुप्यन्ति दौर्गत्यात सॊ ऽनर्थः सुमहान समृतः ।। २-५-३९ ।।

sanskrit

'Are you aware that delays in pay and irregularities in the distribution of rations cause great misery among the troops, leading them to mutiny, which is considered by the learned to be one of the greatest misfortunes?' ।। 2-5-39 ।।

english translation

kAlAtikramaNAda dhayete bhakta vetanayòra bhRtAH bhartuH kupyanti daurgatyAta sò 'narthaH sumahAna samRtaH || 2-5-39 ||
