'Having rescued the Asura Maya from the conflagration, Arjuna, the slayer of foes, skillfully employed both his hands to have Maya construct that assembly hall.' ।। 2-44-7 ।।
तेन चैव मयेनॊक्ताः किं करा नाम राक्षसाः वहन्ति तां सभां भीमास तत्र का परिदेवना ।। २-४४-८ ।।
'And it is also because the fearsome Rakshasas called Kinkaras, commanded by Maya, supported that assembly hall. What is there to be sorry about?' ।। 2-44-8 ।।
दरॊणस तव महेष्वासः सह पुत्रेण धीमता सूतपुत्रश च राधेयॊ गौतमश च महारथः ।। २-४४-१० ।।
'Drona, the great archer, along with his wise son, Ashvatthama; the son of a charioteer, Karna; and the great warrior Gautama (Kripa)—these are your allies.' ।। 2-44-10 ।।
