जले निपतितं दृष्ट्वा किं करा जहसुर भृशम वासांसि च शुभान्य अस्मै परददू राजशासनात ॥ २-४३-६ ॥
'Seeing Duryodhana fall into the lake, the mighty Bhima laughed heartily, as did the palace attendants. At the king's command, the servants quickly brought him dry, fine garments.' ॥ 2-43-6 ॥
english translation
jale nipatitaM dRSTvA kiM karA jahasura bhRzama vAsAMsi ca zubhAnya asmai paradadU rAjazAsanAta ॥ 2-43-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतथागतं तु तं दृष्ट्वा भीमसेनॊ महाबलः अर्जुनश च यमौ चॊभौ सर्वे ते पराहसंस तदा ॥ २-४३-७ ॥
'Beholding the plight of Duryodhana, the mighty Bhima and Arjuna and both the twins laughed aloud.' ॥ 2-43-7 ॥
english translation
tathAgataM tu taM dRSTvA bhImasenò mahAbalaH arjunaza ca yamau còbhau sarve te parAhasaMsa tadA ॥ 2-43-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनामर्षयत ततस तेषाम अवहासम अमर्षणः आकारं रक्षमाणस तु न स तान समुदैक्षत ॥ २-४३-८ ॥
'Unaccustomed to enduring insults, Duryodhana could not tolerate their laughter. Concealing his feelings, he avoided looking at them.' ॥ 2-43-8 ॥

nAmarSayata tatasa teSAma avahAsama amarSaNaH AkAraM rakSamANasa tu na sa tAna samudaikSata ॥ 2-43-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुनर वसनम उत्क्षिप्य परतरिष्यन्न इव सथलम आरुरॊह ततः सर्वे जहसुस ते पुनर जनाः ॥ २-४३-९ ॥
'Seeing the king lift his clothes again to cross what he mistook for water but was actually dry land, they all laughed heartily once more.' ॥ 2-43-9 ॥

punara vasanama utkSipya paratariSyanna iva sathalama Aruròha tataH sarve jahasusa te punara janAH ॥ 2-43-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदवारं च विवृताकारं ललाटेन समाहनत संवृतं चेति मन्वानॊ दवारदेशाद उपारमत ॥ २-४३-१० ॥
'Later, the king mistook a closed crystal door for being open and struck his head against it as he tried to pass through, leaving him dazed. He then misjudged another open crystal door as closed and, while attempting to push it open with outstretched hands, stumbled and fell. Finally, he came across another truly open door but, thinking it was closed, moved away from it.' ॥ 2-43-10 ॥
