जले निपतितं दृष्ट्वा किं करा जहसुर भृशम वासांसि च शुभान्य अस्मै परददू राजशासनात ।। २-४३-६ ।।

'Seeing Duryodhana fall into the lake, the mighty Bhima laughed heartily, as did the palace attendants. At the king's command, the servants quickly brought him dry, fine garments.' ।। 2-43-6 ।।

jale nipatitaM dRSTvA kiM karA jahasura bhRzama vAsAMsi ca zubhAnya asmai paradadU rAjazAsanAta || 2-43-6 ||

'Unaccustomed to enduring insults, Duryodhana could not tolerate their laughter. Concealing his feelings, he avoided looking at them.' ।। 2-43-8 ।।

'Later, the king mistook a closed crystal door for being open and struck his head against it as he tried to pass through, leaving him dazed. He then misjudged another open crystal door as closed and, while attempting to push it open with outstretched hands, stumbled and fell. Finally, he came across another truly open door but, thinking it was closed, moved away from it.' ।। 2-43-10 ।।
