विराटम अन्वयात तूर्णं धृष्टद्युम्नः परतापवान धनंजयॊ यज्ञसेनं महात्मानं महारथः ॥ २-४२-४१ ॥
'The powerful Dhrishtadyumna promptly followed King Virata, while Dhananjaya accompanied the illustrious and mighty charioteer Yajnasena.' ॥ 2-42-41 ॥
english translation
भीष्मं च धृतराष्ट्रं च भीमसेनॊ महाबलः दरॊणं च स सुतं वीरं सहदेवॊ महारथः ॥ २-४२-४२ ॥
'The mighty Bhimasena escorted Bhishma and Dhritarashtra, and Sahadeva, the master of battle, followed the brave Drona and his son.' ॥ 2-42-42 ॥

नकुलः सुबलं राजन सह पुत्रं समन्वयात दरौपदेयाः स सौभौद्राः पार्वतीयान महीपतीन ॥ २-४२-४३ ॥
'Nakula, O king, attended Suvala and his son. The sons of Draupadi and the son of Subhadra followed the powerful kings of the mountainous regions.' ॥ 2-42-43 ॥

अन्वगच्छंस तथैवान्यान कषत्रियान कषत्रियर्षभाः एवं संपूजितास ते वै जग्मुर विप्राश च सर्वशः ॥ २-४२-४४ ॥
'Other Kshatriyas also followed their respective Kshatriya counterparts, and thousands of Brahmanas, duly honored, departed as well.' ॥ 2-42-44 ॥

गतेषु पार्थिवेन्द्रेषु सर्वेषु भरतर्षभ युधिष्ठिरम उवाचेदं वासुदेवः परतापवान ॥ २-४२-४५ ॥
'After all the kings had departed, O chief of the Bharatas, the powerful Vasudeva (Krishna) addressed Yudhishthira, saying:' ॥ 2-42-45 ॥
