तथा बरुवत एवास्य भगवान मधुसूदनः वयपाहरच छिरॊ करुद्धश चक्रेणामित्र कर्षणः स पपात महाबाहुर वज्राहत इवाचलः ।। २-४२-२१ ।।
'As he was speaking thus, the Lord Madhusudana, Angry, cut off his head with the discus, the destroyer of enemies. That mighty-armed one fell, like a mountain struck by a thunderbolt.' ।। 2-42-21 ।।
'The kings were awestruck by this wonder. After Krishna had slain the King of Chedi, the sky, though clear, poured rain, thunderbolts crashed, and the earth trembled.' ।। 2-42-24 ।।
