चित्रसेनः सहामात्यॊ गन्धर्वाप्सरसस तथा गीतवादित्रकुशलाः शम्या तालविशारदाः ।। २-४-३१ ।।

sanskrit

'Chitrasena, along with his ministers, as well as Gandharvas and Apsaras skilled in singing and playing on musical instruments, were there, proficient in vocal and instrumental music.' ।। 2-4-31 ।।

english translation

citrasenaH sahAmAtyò gandharvApsarasasa tathA gItavAditrakuzalAH zamyA tAlavizAradAH || 2-4-31 ||

hk transliteration

परमाणे ऽथ लयस्थाने किंनराः कृतनिश्रमाः संचॊदितास तुम्बुरुणा गन्धर्वाः सहिता जगुः ।। २-४-३२ ।।

sanskrit

'The Kinners, were exhausted from their efforts in the art of music, performed in the highest and lowest octaves, encouraged by the Tumburu Gandharvas.' ।। 2-4-32 ।।

english translation

paramANe 'tha layasthAne kiMnarAH kRtanizramAH saMcòditAsa tumburuNA gandharvAH sahitA jaguH || 2-4-32 ||

hk transliteration

गायन्ति दिव्यतानैस ते यथान्यायं मनस्विनः पाण्डुपुत्रान ऋषींश चैव रमयन्त उपासते ।। २-४-३३ ।।

sanskrit

'They sang melodiously with their celestial voices, delighting the wise Pandava princes and the revered sages.' ।। 2-4-33 ।।

english translation

gAyanti divyatAnaisa te yathAnyAyaM manasvinaH pANDuputrAna RSIMza caiva ramayanta upAsate || 2-4-33 ||

तस्यां सभायाम आसीनाः सुव्रताः सत्यसंगराः दिवीव देवा बरह्माणं युधिष्ठिरम उपासते ।। २-४-३४ ।।

sanskrit

'In that assembly, those men of great virtue, seated with strict vows and unwavering dedication to truth, all attended to Yudhishthira like the celestials in heaven attend to Brahma.' ।। 2-4-34 ।।

english translation

tasyAM sabhAyAma AsInAH suvratAH satyasaMgarAH divIva devA barahmANaM yudhiSThirama upAsate || 2-4-34 ||
