ततश चेदिपतेर वाक्यं तच छरुत्वा कुरुसत्तमः भीमसेनम उवाचेदं भीष्मॊ मतिमतां वरः ॥ २-३९-२० ॥
'Hearing the words of the King of Chedi, the best of the Kurus, Bhishma, the wisest among the wise, addressed Bhimasena as follows:' ॥ 2-39-20 ॥

tataza cedipatera vAkyaM taca charutvA kurusattamaH bhImasenama uvAcedaM bhISmò matimatAM varaH ॥ 2-39-20 ॥
