न हि धर्मं परं जातु नावबुध्येत पार्थिव भीष्मः शांतनवस तव एनं मावमंस्था अतॊ ऽनयथा ॥ २-३५-३ ॥
'O King, never indeed would Bhishma, son of Shantanu, fail to understand the highest dharma (duty/righteousness). Therefore, do not think of him otherwise.' ॥ 2-35-3 ॥
english translation
na hi dharmaM paraM jAtu nAvabudhyeta pArthiva bhISmaH zAMtanavasa tava enaM mAvamaMsthA atò 'nayathA ॥ 2-35-3 ॥
