तस्मात सत्स्व अपि वृद्धेषु कृष्णम अर्चाम नेतरान एवं वक्तुं न चार्हस तवं मा भूत ते बुद्धिर ईदृशी ॥ २-३५-११ ॥
'Therefore, we worship Krishna among the best and the oldest, and not others. It does not behoove you to speak otherwise. Let your understanding not be so.' ॥ 2-35-11 ॥
english translation
tasmAta satsva api vRddheSu kRSNama arcAma netarAna evaM vaktuM na cArhasa tavaM mA bhUta te buddhira IdRzI ॥ 2-35-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptजञानवृद्धा मया राजन बहवः पर्युपासिताः तेषां कथयतां शौरेर अहं गुणवतॊ गुणान समागतानाम अश्रौषं बहून बहुमतान सताम ॥ २-३५-१२ ॥
'O king, I have served many who are well-versed in knowledge, and from all these wise men, I have heard of the numerous esteemed qualities of the accomplished Sauri.' ॥ 2-35-12 ॥
english translation
jaJAnavRddhA mayA rAjana bahavaH paryupAsitAH teSAM kathayatAM zaurera ahaM guNavatò guNAna samAgatAnAma azrauSaM bahUna bahumatAna satAma ॥ 2-35-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकर्माण्य अपि च यान्य अस्य जन्मप्रभृति धीमतः बहुशः कथ्यमानानि नरैर भूयॊ शरुतानि मे ॥ २-३५-१३ ॥
'I have also heard many times all the acts recited by people that Krishna of great intelligence hath performed since his birth.' ॥ 2-35-13 ॥
english translation
karmANya api ca yAnya asya janmaprabhRti dhImataH bahuzaH kathyamAnAni naraira bhUyò zarutAni me ॥ 2-35-13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन केवलं वयं कामाच चेदिराजजनार्दनम न संबन्धं पुरस्कृत्य कृतार्थं वा कथं चन ॥ २-३५-१४ ॥
'And, O king of Chedi, we do not worship Janardana out of caprice, personal interest, or for the benefits he might bestow.' ॥ 2-35-14 ॥
english translation
na kevalaM vayaM kAmAca cedirAjajanArdanama na saMbandhaM puraskRtya kRtArthaM vA kathaM cana ॥ 2-35-14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअर्चामहे ऽरचितं सद्भिर भुवि भौम सुखावहम यशॊ शौचं जयं चास्य विज्ञायार्चां परयुज्महे ॥ २-३५-१५ ॥
'We honor him because he is worshipped by the righteous on earth and is the source of happiness for all beings. We offer him the foremost worship due to his renown, heroism, and achievements.' ॥ 2-35-15 ॥

arcAmahe 'racitaM sadbhira bhuvi bhauma sukhAvahama yazò zaucaM jayaM cAsya vijJAyArcAM parayujmahe ॥ 2-35-15 ॥
