तस्मै भीष्माभ्यनुज्ञातः सहदेवः परतापवान उपजह्रे ऽथ विधिवद वार्ष्णेयायार्घ्यम उत्तमम ॥ २-३३-३० ॥
'Following Bhishma's command, Sahadeva, endowed with great prowess, duly presented the first Arghya, composed of the finest ingredients, to Krishna of the Vrishni race.' ॥ 2-33-30 ॥
