[व] स गत्वा हास्तिनपुरं नकुलः समितिंजयः भीष्मम आमन्त्रयाम आस धृतराष्ट्रं च पाण्डवः ।। २-३१-१ ।।
'Vaisampayana said: “The ever-victorious Nakula, the son of Pandu, upon reaching Hastinapura, extended a formal invitation to Bhishma and Dhritarashtra.”' ।। 2-31-1 ।।
'The elder of the Kuru dynasty, accompanied by their preceptor and invited with due ceremonies, arrived with joyous hearts at the sacrifice, with Brahmanas leading the way. Additionally, O scion of the Bharata lineage, upon hearing of King Yudhishthira’s grand sacrifice, many Kshatriyas from various regions, well-versed in the nature of such rituals, came with great enthusiasm.' ।। 2-31-2 ।।
अन्ये च शतशस तुष्टैर मनॊभिर मनुजर्षभ दरष्टुकामाः सभां चैव धर्मराजं च पाण्डवम ।। २-३१-३ ।।
'They were eager to see King Yudhishthira, the son of Pandu, and his magnificent sacrificial pavilion, bringing with them a wealth of precious jewels of diverse kinds.' ।। 2-31-3 ।।
